How to update your V200 cameras firmware

 Installation instructions for PC :

  1. Format the SD card (Format: FAT32. Tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BjMm-bMZ8Vk).
  2. Download the update file here
  3. Open the downloaded .zip file by double-clicking on it.
  4. Extract the files from the .zip file.
  5. Copy the extracted files into the SD card.
    It is important to copy the files AND NOT the folder:
    Good “SD Card: \ Files”
    Not Good “SD Card: \ VXXX_V1.0x.0x \ Files”
  6. Make sure the camera is turned OFF.
  7. Insert the SD card into the camera.
  8. Turn the camera on.
  9. At the main screen, make sure the battery level is green in order for the installation to be successful.
  10. Turn the camera off.
  11. Hold down the “OK” button and turn ON the camera. If your camera is powered by an external source, be sure not to turn off that power during this step.
  12. The screen will light up and display “Executing firmware update.”. You may then release the “OK” button.
  13. Once the camera displays the main menu, you must turn off the camera for the changes to be effective.
  14. The camera firmware will now be up to date.

Installation instructions for MAC :

  1. Format the SD card (Format: MS-DOT(FAT). Tutorial https://youtu.be/UmIanMx1HDM).
  2. Download the update file here
  3. Double-click on the .zip file.
  4. Copy the extracted files onto the SD card.
    It is important to copy the files AND NOT the folder:
    Good “SD Card: \ Files”
    Not Good “SD Card: \ VXXX_V1.0x.0x \ Files”
  5. Click to open the file : MacOS_PrepareSDCard.command.
  6. Eject the SD card from the computer.
  7. Make sure the camera is turned OFF.
  8. Insert the SD card in the camera.
  9. Hold down the OK button and turn the camera on. If your camera is powered by an external source, be sure not to turn off that power during this step.
  10. The screen will light up and display “Executing firmware update.”. You may then release the “OK” button and wait 2 minutes.
  11. Once the camera displays the main menu, you must turn off the camera for the changes to be effective.
  12. The camera firmware will now be up to date.
