Cold temperatures adversely affect the performance of nickel–cadmium (NiCd)/nickel–metal (NiMH) batteries. Using lithium batteries will help keep the performance of your camera to its best. V150The V150 model comes with a Lithium battery pack (included in the box) that works well in hot and cold weather. The V150 also has a built-in solar panel as an alternate power source. V200V200 cameras come with a rechargeable internal battery and a built-in solar panel as an alternative power source. Before using the camera, make sure to charge the internal battery for 24-48 hours. For optimal performance during cold weather, we recommend using 8 x AA non-rechargeable lithium batteries or our rechargeable Lithium battery pack (V-LIT-BC) along with the internal battery. V100 For cold weather, V100 cameras require 8 x AA non-rechargeable lithium batteries or our rechargeable Lithium battery pack (V-LIT-BC) to perform better. *Before using AA batteries, we strongly recommend testing them with a multimeter to make sure they are of 1.5V or higher. *For cameras that have a solar panel, make sure to place the cameras in an area that gets a good amount of sunlight during the day (enough to cover at least 50% of the solar panel). This will help maximize the battery life of your camera.
