Rechargeable Lithium packs, Internal battery, and non-rechargeable batteries:
V150
- V-LIT-B2 must be charged for 12-24* hours before use. *May vary depending on the type of charger and the battery level at the time of charging.
V200
- Internal batteries must be charged for 24-48 hours using the supplied power cord.
- V-LIT-B must be charged for 12-24* hours before use. *May vary depending on the type of charger and the battery level at the time of charging.
- If you are using AAs, you must use non-rechargeable batteries and premium quality Lithium or Alkaline only.
V100
- V-LIT-B must be charged for 12-24* hours before use. *May vary depending on the type of charger and the battery level at the time of charging.
- If you are using AAs, you must use non-rechargeable batteries and premium quality Lithium or Alkaline only.
Other possible causes of battery drainage and solutions:
- Night-time pictures: Pictures taken at nighttime require the infrared LEDs to turn on which consumes a lot of energy. The camera consumes less power during the day.
- Incorrect Battery type or its polarity (+/-): An incorrect type or orientation of the battery or if it is not properly inserted might drain other batteries faster. If you are using AA batteries, make sure you are using non-rechargeable Lithium or Alkaline only. DO NOT use NiMh batteries, they don’t supply enough voltage.
- Bad reading between SD card and camera: When there is bad reading, the camera will try to read the SD card repeatedly until the action is completed, which drains batteries faster. Therefore, using a formatted SD card (Class 10, SDHC, between 2 GB to 32 GB) from a reputable brand is required.
- Low signal: When the signal is low or fluctuates from time to time, the camera will try to establish a connection for a longer period which will consume the batteries faster. Relocating your camera to a location with better coverage will ensure consistent signal strength and sustain battery life.
- Camera settings: Choose the correct ‘Power Source’ according to what is being used with the camera. E.g., If you are using AA Lithium batteries with your V100 or V200, make sure you choose AA_LIT as your Power Source. Similarly, if you are using the Vosker rechargeable battery pack then choose V_LIT_B.The following configuration of the camera settings impact the battery life:
- Lower ‘Delay’, E.g., Instant.
- Higher ‘Multishot’, E.g., 3.
- Higher ‘Sensitivity’, E.g., High.
- A more often‘Transfer Frequency’, E.g., Each Detection.
- Video mode (For V200)
